Approach

My main focus in teaching is to understand each student's desired goals and to provide a safe and nurturing environment for each individual.

Learning the clarinet requires a comprehensive approach that includes an understanding of the instrument's tonal structure, reed preparation, postural control, breathing techniques, and ear development. First and foremost, it is necessary to learn how to use the body and how to deal with one's own very subjective and ever-changing senses.

I have studied the Alexander Technique intensively in Germany and have integrated it into my teaching to help students develop a sustainable and expressive relationship with the instrument.

Lessons are available for any age over 10 years old, any level from beginner to young professional. I am passionate about the art of interpretation and enjoy working with individuals to further their own unique expression.
